Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is known to be one of the best players in the world. And although there is some controversy between Ronaldo and Messi, Ronaldo is still one of my heroes. Cristiano Ronaldo is a former Manchester United footballer and is ridiculously talented and currently plays for a Spanish team, Real Madrid. He makes the defenders that he comes across look amateur and slow, he skips past them like he's in training and always creates magic on the pitch. Cristiano Ronaldo was born on the 5th of February, 1985 in Madeira, Portugal. His early life was shaped by hardship; his father, a gardener, often drank too much, and eventually died from kidney problems in 2005. At the age of 10 Ronaldo was already recognized as a great footballer. One of the reasons why Cristiano Ronaldo is one of my heroes is that Ronaldo was naturally born with talent and the way he pushed that forward and used it to get from a poor family with parents who didn't support him much at the time to the best teams in the world. He is also one of my heroes because he never lets his team down and will do his best to lead them to victory and support them. In 2005 and 2006 he led his team to the finals, then helped them win it all. Another reason why Cristiano Ronaldo is one of my heroes is because he inspired me to play football and I use/look at his skills and learn from them, hopefully being able to apply them to my game. Some of the UWC profiles he shows are leadership, commitment and communicator. He has been selected captain many times for both Manchester United and Real Madrid showing that he can control and take lead of the team confidently. And with this control he also had to be committed to his role and he was. He would do his best to lead the team to victory and help them as much as he could. He communicated very well with his teammates creating a strong bond and would be expressed constantly on the pitch. I was actually lucky enough to see him live on my birthday in Japan. Manchester United came to Japan to play against one of the Japanese teams surprisingly it was a draw but the player who stood out most was Cristiano Ronaldo and because of this he was rewarded the MVP.
